Neo-Prep
Simple silhouettes and last-a-lifetime pieces. Drawing on both streetwear and heritage wear, a unique era is born in both female and male fashion, as comfy is now chicer than ever. Timeless trench coats and oversized blazers are the new go tos. Style with midi skirts, crisp shirts, ballerinas, and knitted vests, together blurring the lines between work and casual wear. Layer a simple white on white or add earthy tones. Mix sand and khaki or taupe with a creamy white. Neo-prep is more casual and comfortable while keeping the timeless and conservative spirit alive.
Y2K Revival
Also known as the “Emo 2.0”- with a dash of butterflies and neon colors. Low-rise jeans and cargo pants. Nostalgic dressing with a hint of “pop-punk”. It is all about “aesthetics” and that DIY feeling. Mini shirts, mini skirts, and mini heels. Wide leg jeans, chunky sneakers, and denim on denim. Top it with sunglasses of tinted lenses and rhinestone-everything. A vibrant palette of bright colors such as bubblegum pink, arctic blue, and bright red. Filled with nostalgia for a simpler time, blending pop culture and tech advancements of the late ‘90s and mid-2000s.
More is merrier
There is always an occasion to celebrate. Color blocking, beads, and shimmer. This trend is only stealing the very best from every decade. Style your colorful, fringy mini dress with your homemade crochet bag and a pair of chocolate brown pumps. Get your shine on with some metallic spangle in gold or silver or maybe go for that super-sheer look. Bold shoes, daring cuts, oversized accessories, and boxy suits. Raspberry and cerulean blue mingled to a delicious effect. Also, don’t be afraid of that highlighter neon. There are few rules, few limits. Daring is caring.
